1. P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education
This scholarship is available for female citizens of the United States or Canada who need it to finish an educational degree or certificate.
2. 1,000 Dreams Scholarship
The 1,000 Dreams Scholarship is for female students who are currently in high-school or are college-aged women. Available in the United States, it provides up to $1,000 for expenses such as creative pursuits, textbooks, and other costs but not for tuition. Students must write an essay explaining how the amount will be used and give letters of recommendation while applying.
3. The Future is Female Scholarship
The criteria for this scholarship is to have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and to answer five short essay questions.
4. Angela Award
This award is given to a female student from grade 5-8 who has a high aptitude or interest for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). The student must be enrolled in a full-time school and must belong to the United States, U.S. Territories, or Canada. The award amount is $1,000.
5. Jane M. Klausman Women In Business Scholarship
For girls pursuing an education or career in business and in need of some financial aid, this scholarship is a great option. There is no age restriction. Women enrolled in any business related program and showing a potential in the business field can apply.
6. The Sara Scholarship
Established in 2012 as part of the will of the late Sara Shehaan, the scholarship is for high school seniors who want to get a college degree. The students must demonstrate suitable academic achievement, need of financial need and active engagement with the sport of golf. The award amount is $2000 per year for books, tuition, and other expenses.
7. Irene Adler Prize
The Irene Adler prize is a competition for women pursuing a degree in literature, journalism, or creative writing in the United States or Canada. The competition is based on an essay of 500 words in English on the given topics and the prize is of $1000. There is no age restriction.
8. Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is for to women of ages 35 and older who have a low-income based on their estimated household income for the coming year. It is for students who believe that a college education can benefit their families and themselves. The candidate applying must be pursuing a first bachelor’s degree, technical or vocational education or an associate’s degree from an ACICS accredited institution. The scholarship is applicable only to US citizens.
9. Alice McarverRatchford Scholarship
The Alice McarverRatchford Scholarship is for female undergraduate students who are in need of financial aid. There are certain criteria that the candidates must meet including living on-campus and not having an automobile. The applicants must submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to determine eligibility for the scholarship.
10. Women Giving to Women Scholarship
A scholarship to empower women, this provides both financial and emotional support to women of diverse backgrounds. The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university or college and have a 2.5 GPA. The scholarship is limited to a few places.
